Chef Rahman Motibur
Born in the North of India, Chef Rahman Motibur has been trained at the Indian Culinary Academy and has a unique cooking style, as he is able to execute and innovate on both Southern Indian and Northern Indian dishes, which he has gained and enhanced by the many stops along his culinary journey.
Having worked at top hotels and upscale fine dining restaurants across India, Chef Rahman is now in Cyprus and Head Chef of “India Gate” Restaurant in Limassol. Wanting to be a true culinary Indian ambassador, Chef Rahman is willing with his passion for cooking Authentic Indian Dishes to change how the people of Limassol – or even Cyprus – look at Indian Cuisine and to encourage them to experience the amazing flavours of India.
“India Gate” Restaurant opened in Limassol in March 2016, being an inspiration of the Loyal Family, who having being raised by an Indian Father, were introduced to the Authentic Indian Cuisine from a young age. Having grown up they felt the need to share their love and appreciation of homemade Indian food by opening “India Gate”.
“India Gate” aims to offer high quality authentic Indian cuisine by sourcing the finest ingredients and importing traditional spices from the Indian Subcontinent. Producing its own homemade masalas and using its traditional charcoal tandoori ovens India Gate strives to give its guests a whole New Indian Experience.
Chef Mukesh Tanwar
Chef Mukesh Tanwar is currently Head Chef of the China Spice Group of Restaurants. He has more than 16 years of rich experience in the Food and Beverage industry in India, Norway and the United Arab Emirates where he worked with pioneer organisations of Casual Dining and Fine Dining.
Chef Tanwar graduated with a Diploma in Hotel Management in India specializing in Catering and Nutrition in 2001 and in 2016, attained Essential Food Safety Training from the Food Control Authority in the UAE. He’s also had training from chefs of various star hotels and has a wealth of experience and know-how about quality production, procedures and regulations in food preparation. He particularly revels in making food at a reduced cost, never compromising on quality or taste.
Chef Tanwar is a quality focused professional with an excellent track record of implementing and creating menus, ensuring best quality food is served on time while maintaining a hygenienic kitchen environment by lead the team.
